Gifted Memberships & Vouchers

Not able to commit to volunteer duties this year? That’s okay! You can pay a $160 roster levy instead. It’s available for any small, large or organisation membership type and covers your duties for the full year. Just select it when you sign up

Concession card holders: please bring your card to your first visit so we can confirm your rate.

How the roster works

The Toy Library is run entirely by volunteers, that’s what keeps fees low and the place running. As a member, you’re part of that.

  • All general members complete one volunteer duty per term (4 per year)
  • Duties run during open sessions and are always shared with a committee member
  • You’ll nominate your preferred day when you join
  • The roster is published on the website, with reminder emails and texts sent a few days before your expected duty.
Can’t make your shift?
  • Arrange a swap with another member, friend or family member
  • If that’s not possible, contact the Rostering Coordinator as early as you can.
Details are in your reminder email and text.

Members also help out at our annual stocktake in mid-December. It’s a short session and a great way to see the whole collection.

Not available during open hours?

We get it, life doesn’t always line up with our session times. There are plenty of other ways to get your duties done:

  • Help us catalogue new toys (and get to test them out before anyone else, obviously)
  • A spot of gardening in our outdoor space
  • Got a trade or handy skill? Help us make something great
  • Got another idea? We’re open to it – get in touch and we can work out something that suits you.
Bring the kids!

Kids are welcome (and encouraged) during duties. We love having them and honestly? They make the best helpers!

Prefer not to do duties at all? Pay the $160 roster levy when you join and consider it sorted.

Ready? Let’s go!

Sign up takes about 5 minutes.
