Things are about to get very messy in Bendigo

Children from all over Greater Bendigo will be enjoying getting dirty, sticky, wet and generally messy at the Bendigo Community Toy Library’s Messy Play Day to be held on Saturday 7 April 2018.

In its third year, the now annual and free community run event is open to all members and non-members and will be held at the Spring Gully site from 9.30 am-12 noon on Saturday 7 April 2018. Continue reading

YogaHara’s Community Yoga class is a donation based class with all proceeds being donated to that term’s chosen charity. YogaHara will chose a local charity each term to be the recipient of the funds raised in this Community Yoga class. Messy Play And The Benefits For Your Child

There are many benefits of messy play, especially for babies toddlers and young children. Messy play is a tactile experience that stimulates children’s senses and assists in the development of hand eye coordination and fine motor skills. Children learn about the effects of gravity, the behavior of liquid and solid objects by playing with different materials and begin to develop a sense of prediction ie action versus reaction. It doesn’t necessarily require language, so children of different ages, nationalities, development and those with special needs can play alongside each other and interact on the same level.
